I put in holiday comp for 06-23-09 on 06-16-09. Here it is Friday morning and I get in to work to find out my supervisor has taken time off without answering my request. This is an ongoing problem, it takes days or weeks to get an answer and it's not always a coverage issue. When he puts in for time off I don't always know it and it's approved in a blink of an eye.

Sounds really frustrating! Does your boss have a boss that you feel comfortable talking to? Maybe you could explain you asked quite a bit in advance as you are making plans...you really need an answer. That might get you past this immediate situation.

As for a long term solution.... anybody have any ideas? Been in a situation like this before?
