Jo-Ann,
Thanks for the update. I've been sick for the past 6 days so I've been out to the loop. Remember, this union is all of us, and its a volunteer operation so trying to get all information out is really hard. So I appreciate it very much when other members pitch in and contribute. Just like you did.
And as this was a member's outrage about the news, it wasn't a news piece. It was a place for people to express their feelings with other union members. It's also important for President Wilson to know how this type of news affects us as people. I don't think it was inappropriate or "Fox News." But that's my opinion.
I LOVE that you used the blog. Again, thanks.

Did I miss the e-mail blast updating us on the Wilson Raise?
While browsing the USA website for misc. updates, following an generic USA/MTA e-mail this morning, I noticed that people are still posting "Wilson comments", as a reaction to his raise.
Although the issue (his raise) has not been reversed, it has been ‘delayed’ which people may not be aware

(I,too, live in a bubble, and I was not aware of any news until I read a 2nd link shared from a posting this morning about the Globe letter to the editor. ….)
I realize unions are all about activism and mobilizing for workers rights, but wouldn’t it be to the advantage of ‘advocacy’ to present a more balanced front, rather than Fox-News style bias all the time. Let us draw our own conclusions.
As a service to members, why didn't anyone post an update on Jan 20 to the Wilson raise issue?
(or did I miss the e-mail) ?
